President of Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) Venkatesh Prasad has sought the allotment of 50 acres of government land from the government of Karnataka in Mangaluru to establish world-class cricket infrastructure.
The KSCA president requested that the land be allotted either on an outright purchase basis or on a 50-year lease at concessional rates generally extended to educational and sports institutions. This development comes after Santosh Kumar Shetty, Chairman, Mangaluru Urban Development Authority (MUDA), met Prasad in Bengaluru seeking to develop a cricket stadium in Mangaluru.
